Captain Robert Smith works at the Veteran Affairs Fire Department but started out in housekeeping also know as EMS then work his way up to working in the fire service. Captain Smith divides his time teaching with Lt. Fixler to meet the goals and mission of the Macon County Fire Science Program. Captain Smith also attending college getting his degree in Health and Safety. Captain Smith also as obtained his Emergency Medical Tech, Officer I, II, Instructor I, II just to name a few certifications from the Alabama Fire College.
