I was born to David and Rosie Pearsall here in Tuskegee, Alabama on March 31 st. I am the baby of three siblings born to my parents. I attended Macon county Schools  and graduated from Tuskegee Institute High School in the mighty class of 1986. I was Miss Cosmetology both years as class queen in the Vocational Education Program I dominated amongst my peers. I have been married to Mr. Sandy Brown Sr. for 24 years, and I am the mother of two wonderful children Toiasha and SanQuan. One grandson Calvon.

After high school,  I immediately attended Riley College in Montgomery Alabama and became a licensed professional cosmetologist in 1987. I was assisted during a apprenticeship  for many years under Minister Dr. Hurdis Milner Bozeman who mentored me until the completion of my Vocational Education degree program  at Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama. Meanwhile, I worked at D&P headliners and Edwina's Beauty Shop as a stylist. I started my salon business in 2001( Universal Hair Bazaar) 725-0612,  where I am still working part time. I have worked as a substitute teacher at Riley College, Southern Union and Macon County Area Vocational Center.

I was introduced to my calling when I was hired in 2005 here at Booker T. Washington High School as the cosmetology Instructor. I work hard at making a difference in the lives of all my students by teaching skills to polish the skills embedded in each child. My instructor  in high school told me, I would one day return to do her job. My mother told me she thought I would be a teacher before she passed in May of 2005, she was exactly right! Futures are read by the best fortune tellers you cross in life.

My ultimate goal is to extend a person whose prime objective is to be all he or she can be in  their community. This creates an environment conducive to the highest standards of learning possible in the ever-changing field of Cosmetology. I strive to produce cosmologists/barbers who  will become productive and prosperous in the so ever diverse profession of beauty and barbering. My daily objective is to explain and then teach my students hands on Creativity and the art of entrepreneurship.
