Alabama Alternate Achievement Standards

Some students with disabilities participate in a curriculum based on Alabama Extended Standards. Those whose instruction is based on Alabama Extended Standards participate in the Alabama Alternate Assessment, a state assessment for students with significant, cognitive disabilities.

DIFFERENTIATED INSTRUCTIONAL GUIDES:

Differentiated Instructional Guides (DIGS) have been rolled out for both Reading and Mathematics.  They were created to serve as an instructional companion to assist teachers with tailoring instruction to meet the individual needs of all students.
