Dual Enrollment with Tuskegee University

Macon County Schools has final approval to pilot our dual enrollment program with Tuskegee University.  This means that high-achiving students have the opportunity to jump-start their college career!

Dual Enrollment students gain early exposure to the college learning environment and positive reinforcement of learning skills. Students who complete the program can enter college at the sophomore level after high school graduation.

Admission requirements for Dual Enrollment program:

  • Students must meet the admission requirements of Alabama Southern.
  • Students must have a B average in completed high school courses.
  • Students must be in grade 10, 11 or 12.
  • Students must have appropriate scores on the ACT.
  • Students must have written approval from your school's counselor, principal and the local superintendent of education.
  • There must be a signed agreement between Alabama Southern and the school system.

Dual Enrollment is restricted to qualified students in Alabama public and/ or regionally accredited high schools who have signed an agreement with Alabama Southern. Criteria for student eligibility are developed by each individual school system and may be more restrictive than the minimum criteria listed above.
