SECME workshop @ Tuskegee U.

Students from Deborah Cannon Wolfe Elementary participated in a SECME COMPETITION WORKSHOP that was held on December 1, 2012 on the campus of Tuskegee University.

SECME is an organization to serve under-represented groups in math and science.  the mission statement is: To increase the pool of historically underrepresented and under-served students who will be prepared to enter and complete post-secondary studies in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM); thus creating a diverse and globally competitive workforce.
students integrated mathematics and science concepts to design and build a mousetrap car. They also demonstrated basic physical laws and principles to build and launch water bottle rockets.
